Rahn Reduces Radiation Damage with Marine Active
Rahn AG's latest active is said to safeguard skin from the radiation produced by today's natural and digital sources, from UV exposure to blue light and Wi-Fi; working on a cellular level, the ingredient is meant to avoid premature skin aging.
Radicare Gold (INCI: Crambe Abyssinica Seed Oil (and) Tetradesmus Obliquus Extract (and) Tocopherol (and) Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (and) Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract) is based on the actions of freshwater algae, Tetradesmus obliquus, which generates a carotenoid shield to protect itself from UV stress. The ingredient mimics this concept to defend the skin's cells and barrier from free radicals; through this action, PPARy is activated and the barrier's carotenoid levels are replenished, leading to a younger appearance.

In vitro studies also found the ingredient to stimulate the epidermis; increase skin hydration and decelerate skin aging; absorb high-energy visible light (blue light); and alleviate cellular oxidative stress.
