Diamond Wipes Acquires Ode to Clean for More Sustainable Products
Diamond Wipes has acquired Ode to Clean, a wipes brand using only plant starch, presenting a new opportunity in the creation of "clean" wipes. As Neutrogena recently discovered, all manner of single-use products are under the sustainability microscope. And consumers are not afraid to speak out. In this context, Diamond Wipes' strategic move is a logical one.
Diamond Wipes is launching new version of Ode to Clean wipes featuring a biodegradable substrate and "improved formulation of Bioperoxide," a non-toxic "enzyme that produces a pure form of hydrogen peroxide."
"More and more customers are becoming environmentally conscious of the products they use in their daily lives."
Ode to Clean was founded in 2016 by Solugen, a biotechnology company, which developed Bioperoxide. The wipes are reportedly manufactured using solar- and wind-powered manufacturing. The result, according to Ode to Clean, is a safe product that "reduces the waste and pollution in the production process."
"We saw a need for natural cleaning wipes without toxic chemicals," said Eve Yen, founder and CEO of Diamond Wipes International, Inc. "More and more customers are becoming environmentally conscious of the products they use in their daily lives. Ode to Clean is the perfect solution that customers can feel safe using in their homes."
